I believe you made resolutions for yourself before or at the beginning of the year 2018 (eg. to graduate with distinction, get a lucrative job that pays well, own a house, etc.). Am also sure you did not aim at achieving anything mean (eg. to be a servant in someone’s home, to stay unemployed, etc.).
Well, have you sat down to reflect on how far you have achieved these resolutions as we are getting very close the end of the year?
You might have probably made a lot of mistakes unconsciously, ignore certain smaller opportunities which could have lunch you into bigger platforms but as you prepare to enter 2019, I would want you to keep these in mind:
It is always the odd that attracts attention. Therefore, don’t look down on it. Do you realise how an oil stain is easily seen in a white cloth even when you are afar? It’s exactly how you can attract (impact) the world with the odds you see in your life. Take the life story of Colonel Harland Sanders the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken as an example, after many years of misfortune and failures, he did not relent in affecting the world. He said “I made a resolve then that I was going to amount to something if I could. And no hours, nor amount of labor, amount of money would deter me from giving the best that there was in me.” (Ref: https://brandongaille.com/29-wonderful-colonel-sanders-quotes/ )
Never despise the weak because God uses them to destroy the strong. There is a quantum of uniqueness in every human being that matches our purpose on earth so see every person around you as valuable and treat them with respect. Consider the life story of Abert Einstein, a world renowned and noble prized physicist who developed the theory of relativity. At his early years was rated by his teachers to be good for nothing, tagged as retarded and was expelled from the secondary school, yet he has contributed to one of the powerful science stands in the world. Remember he was highly religious at the age of twelve. He said “Coincidence is God’s way of remaining anonymous” (Ref: http://wisdomquotes.com/albert-einstein-quotes/).
What people consider foolish, God uses to shame the wise. Therefore, respect all people around you. I wish Einstein’s teachers were alive to see the impact his contribution to Physics has had on the world.
